Built to be used by everyone

This website is designed and tested to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. Here is what that means in practice.

Keyboard and screen readers

Every page can be used without a mouse. A skip link goes straight to the content, all controls have visible focus and accessible names, and decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology so that only meaningful content is announced.

Contrast and text

Text is set at contrast ratios that meet WCAG 2.1 AA against its background, including the small uppercase labels. The layout scales cleanly when text is enlarged, and nothing important is conveyed by colour alone.

Motion

Page transitions and scrolling honour the “reduce motion” setting on your device. Nothing autoplays with sound, and nothing flashes.

Images

Photographs that carry meaning have written descriptions. The before-and-after studies in the gallery are described by their captions and controls, and the images themselves are marked decorative so screen readers do not read the same thing twice.

If something is in the way

A real practice would give a phone number, an email address and a named person here, and would offer to arrange a visit by telephone for anyone who cannot use the website. This is a demonstration site for a practice that does not exist, so there is no clinic to contact; questions about the site itself go to the studio that built it, Dentx, at the number on the badge at the top of every page.
